Aquiring the entire Guitar Hero experience is not cheap

If you are honestly considering purchasing the entire collection of Guitar Hero then without a doubt it is going to cost you a small fortune. The big question that needs to be asked first is that if you are interested in actually playing musical instruments then why not actually spend the money on learning how to play one rather than spend it on plastic guitars and drum kits?

is buying Guitar Hero actually going to be cheaper for you than if you were taking up the real thing? If you perhaps know someone who plays already then why not ask for lessons they are sure to give you a low price.? Just to put it into perspective for you the entire kit with drums, guitar and one of the games is at best going to cost at minimum £250. What happens if you have already got all of the GH games before this one? In actual fact you are going to have at least two guitars for £70 each as well as each game costing at £40 a piece, ouch.. This is only if you have the original games. There are of course now many other games such as Guitar Hero Aerosmith and on top of all of this you may have bought DLC for the games which really only means one thing, more costs to you, the consumer.. Which one is the more expensive now??

However with DJ Hero now on the horizon will people put down their DJ headphones and give in to the DJ mixer which is going to be the new DJ Hero?

There is no way to tell at the moment but the hype has not been the same for this as it was for Guitar Hero back in the day. Playing Guitar Hero is never going to replace the skill and satisfaction of playing the songs you love on a real guitar, but that is not what the company are after. They simply want people to have a bit of fun with a few friends which is always a good thing.

The Beatles In Mono Review

Beatles Box Set Packaging

The Beatles Mono Box Set features The Beatles first 10 albums in their glorious original mono along with the “Mono Masters” double CD compilation which includes the mono versions for all of their non-album songs which were mixed in mono.

The Beatles In Mono is a real “surprise” in some cases. A lot of the band’s earlier songs really sound a lot~better in mono than they do in stereo because they were originally mixed in mono and the stereo mixes were often done as an “afterthought” (because stereo wasn’t taken very seriously at the time.) Many of The Beatles stereo mixes are totally “wrong” by modern standards because they pan everything to one side or the other which can be annoying to listen to (particularly on headphones.)

It’s great to be able to hear songs like George Harrison’s “Taxman” & Paul McCartney’s “Eleanor Rigby” without the wide panning that mars the stereo mixes.

But there’s more differences to these mono mixes than just the panning. In quite a few cases there are actually different takes and different effects used! And in many more cases different instruments/parts are highlighted in the mono mix vs. the stereo mix.

A great example of a different mix in mono vs. stereo is “Helter Skelter” because it’s almost a full minute shorter in mono than in stereo and it doesn’t include the “blisters on my fingers” scream at the end.

“I’m Only Sleeping” is a another good example of mixing differences between the two versions beyond simple panning differences. There is more backwards guitar in the mono version of the song than in the stereo mix.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the Beatles Mono Masters is that it includes four previously unreleased mixes (”Hey Bulldog,” “All Together Now,” “Only a Northern Song and “It’s All Too Much.”)

Anyone is not being helped by financial crisis. As the impact financial crisis, now, more and more people are going for the cheaper option when buying anything to avoid costly. Everyone is trying to save money with this economic condition. Not especially when they consider buy speakers system to entertain them. A lot of them don’t want spend a lot of money on this small luxury, even they would like to setup home theater system.

While it seems that you may have to bid adieu to all your entertainment sources, there is still one opportunity that remains a good investment. You can be allowed by cheap speakers system to extract much more enjoyment out of television, music, video games, movies and computer games all at once.

Discounts up more to 30 % are being offered by some of the audio system manufacturers to the added advantage.

The Global recession affect the popular brands that are the ones very much. They are forced to sell the speakers for very high prices in the market because they have spent thousands of dollars in advertising their products. But not the catchy advertisement we need, great sound quality is all we need. This is where cheap speakers system suppliers come into play. These suppliers are new comers to the market.

For quite a long time, they have been in the industry~They have been in the industry for quite a long time}~They have been in the industry for quite a long time}~They have been in the industry for quite a long time}. The luring advertisements of the popular brands often hide them from the public. Because brand names are closely related quality, the most people are often convinced with. A popular brand name has nothing to do with the quality and in recent year speaker technology has not changed much. That is the true fact. Which cannot be matched with any popular branded speakers on price, there are some superb audio systems out there.

Entertainment has less limited even under the drastic economic conditions with the availability of cheap speakers system.

The Beatles Three Greatest Albums

The Beatles created twelve official studio albums from 1963 through ‘70 and just about all of them were absolutely brilliant which makes picking just three of their albums as the top three is extremely difficult.

Twelve? You may have heard that they had 13 albums. That 13th “album” is Magical Mystery Tour which was originally released in 1967 just as an EP in the UK. An “album” version of it was cobbled together in America by adding some earlier released singles to it.

Beatles purists don’t consider it one of The Beatles official albums, although it has been added to the UK discography since ‘76.

#1 The White Album

The White Album was actually officially self titled but it has since become known as The White Album because of it’s white cover. This double album includes many of The Beatles greatest moments. It also includes some of the songs that a lot of people think of as their worst. But I actually think those weird songs (such as “Wild Honey Pie” and “Revolution #9″) add to the magic of the album. This is an “anything goes” album and it’s all the better for it

#2 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

A lot of people claim that Sgt. Pepper is overrated and I suppose that’s true from the point of view that some of The Beatles other albums get overlooked in comparison. Some less informed Beatles fans seem to think that Sgt. Pepper was The Beatles first foray into “art music” but clearly Rubber Soul beat it to the punch. But, I still think Sgt. Pepper is a great album that works as the band’s most “cohesive statement” and I think while it may be underrated by those who are slightly ignorant of The Beatles work as a whole, I think it’s actually now underrated by the “hipsters.”

#3 Revolver

Revolver is probably The Beatles most consistently great album. Every song is worthy of high praise from the gorgeous “For No One” to the rock classic “Taxman”

Thriller – The Biggest Selling Album Of All Time

“Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” – This is one of four tunes on Thriller that Michael Jackson wrote himself. One of the things that way too many people forget about when speaking of MJ is that he was not only a great singer and dancer, he was also a very creative songwriter.

“Baby Be Mine” – To get an idea of how good this album is consider this: “Baby Be Mine” is one of only two songs that wasn’t a hit single. This is a pretty great tune to be one of just two songs not released as a single.

“The Girl Is Mine” – The lyrics are cheesy as hell but I think that’s part of the song’s charm. This is a tune I’ve started to enjoy more and more over time. The back & forth between Jackson & Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney damn adorable. Jackson wrote this song.

“Thriller” – Too many people think just about the groundbreaking music video and forget about the song itself. It’s a brilliant song and MJ’s incredible vocals really put it over the top. I don’t think any other artist could have really made this song work.

“Beat It” – Eddie Van Halen features on this “rock” song. This is the kind of thing that Jackson doesn’t get enough credit for, he was really pushing the envelope of what pop music could be. MJ wrote “Beat It.”

“Billie Jean” – The most perfect Michael Jackson track. If you are ever questioning MJ’s songwriting skill, remember that he wrote “Billie Jean”.

“Human Nature” – This is one of the songs I enjoy most these days because it hasn’t been overplayed like a lot of the others on Thriller. It’s a really pretty tune.

“P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” – I’m not sure any song makes me want to dance more than “PYT.” Much like “Human Nature,” this is one of my favorites partly because it hasn’t been overplayed.

“The Lady In My Life” – The worst song on Thriller? Most likely. Still pretty darn great? Without a doubt.

Does reading about Thriller makes you want to learn how to sing yourself? Well, I will not guarantee you that you will be able to sing just like Michael Jackson (who can?) but you can significantly improve your singing abilities with Singorama vocal lessons which are guaranteed to work for you.

Guitar Tuning Solutions

One of the most basic proficiencies any guitar player needs is to be able to tune his guitar. Even if you use a tuner, you should know how to tune by using only your ears. Regardless of how you tune, make sure you are in tune.

Most tuning procedures start with tuning the bottom string to a reference note. Then fret the fifth fret on the bottom string and this is what you tune the next string to. Do the same on the fifth string and the fourth and second strings. The third string you fret at the fourth fret, unlike the other strings. If you know how to tune your guitar by ear, then you can tune to another persons instrument and you two can play together. To tune several instruments to each other, begin with one guitar to another and then add subsequent instruments one at a time.

If you want to be extremely accurate and be in tune with everyone you meet, use an electronic guitar tuner. Concert pitch is the agreed upon standard in modern western music. The electronic guitar tuner makes this whole process quicker and more convenient. With an electronic tuner all you do is follow a display to tune your guitar. You can place your tuner in line with your electric guitar and tune in silence.

The tuner may have LED lights to help guide you in a dark environment as a concert stage and it may have a needle display to tune with. The acoustic guitar can also be tuned with the built in microphone on most guitar tuners.Musicians will make fine adjustments by ear after using the tuner as a base. Tuning a guitar has been made very simple with the advent of the guitar tuner.

You will often see guitar players using harmonics to tune their guitar. If you are unfamiliar with harmonics, touch a vibrating string at the twelfth fret and you will hear a harmonic. The tuning fork is another means , often used in classical guitar that you should at least know about. The ease of tuning today has opened the guitar world to many players that may have given up long before. Using any of these approaches is best used in conjunction with your teacher.

Travelling through Greece with me and my guitar

I’ve been travelling around Europe now for three years, with nothing but a passport, a tent, a few clothes and my trusty guitar! Ok the money runs low and I never know where I’ll lay my head from one night to the next but there’s something so exciting about travelling this way – relying on the good nature of the people who stop to listen to me and my guitar on the street corners of Europe.

I feel like I am almost ready to come home – some people could do this for years and years, but sometimes you visit a place and you just know that you won’t be able to better the experience no matter where you go. I feel like this now because I have had the most amazing time over the last few months in mainland Greece. The people here are so friendly and welcoming and they absolutely love traditional greek music. It’s in their blood here, and I soon discovered that if I launched myself into some uptempo folk greek musicthe locals would be partying with me and the money would start rolling in! I honestly made more money, and more friends in Greece than anywhere else in Europe.

A big part of me now wants to return home to Britain, and spread the gospel of great Greek Music. I learned so much out there in the traditional taverns listening to the music of their homeland and I really feel that I can use my memories of that wonderful part of my life and write music of my own in their traditional style. So, I’m going to head home, find a quiet spot in my local park, sit down with my guitar, and see if I can come up with one of the next big greek music hits!

A Backup Singer Is a Star in Their Own Right

If singing behind the headliner is not enough for you, do not attempt to sing backup. The meaning of singing backup is to sing behind someone, not compete with them. If you can control your need to be the center of attention, you can learn backup singing.

This is a difficult skill to learn and is not much understood or appreciated. Backup singing requires a great amount of listening and being very responsive to the main singer, much as an instrumental accompanist would. You must learn to breathe and begin and end your melody as the main singer does. You must, in effect be the singers shadow.

If you can control your place on the stage, see to it that you can see the singer at all times. The job of backup singing is much harder if you can’t see the singers face. Learn to watch the singer at all times. If the singer decides to take another chorus or makes a mistake, you can follow them only if you are watching and aware. Watch the singer intently and always. Be on the lookout for a simple nod of the head or gesture that may indicate a repeat or change of course.

Learn to blend your phrasing to the will of the singer. If you want to blend in the proper way, start your line just after the singer starts theirs. If you are watching the singer as you should, you can start your line quietly if you are not sure how loud they will be at any particular time. Be very aware of consonants at the beginning of a line and try to not emphasize them. If you pronounce a consonant too hard and it is slightly off from the main singers line, it will be very noticeable and disagreeable.

The end of lines are just as necessary as the beginning. You can avoid embarrassment to yourself if you only will ease off your melody as the singer comes to the end of theirs. Listen, watch, blend lines and you can be a professional backup singer every band would love to have.

Three Things Every Beatles Fan Needs (Out On 9/9/9)

The Beatles In Stereo

September 9, 2009 is the day that Beatles fans have been waiting for. That is the day that The Beatles two remastered box sets and Beatles Rock Band are finally released. Many Beatles fans (like myself) have already pre-ordered all three of these items online and are only waiting for them to be shipped!

#1 The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set

This awesome box set includes every single recording The Beatles originally released from 1962 through 1970 in remastered stereo sound.

The Beatles music will be heard in greater detail and clarity with these new remastered versions. The CDs will also be somewhat louder than the 1987 CD versions which have been out for the last 22 years.

#2 The Beatles Remastered Mono Box Set

The first ten Beatles albums in their original mono mixes. Most of these original mono mixes have actually never been released on CD before. These mono mixes are thought to be the “real” versions of The Beatles songs by many Beatles purists because these were the mixes that the band worked most hard on in the 1960s.

Incredibly, the mono mix of The White Album has never been officially released in the US. Not even on LP or tape! Why? Because by the time The White Album came out in 1968, mono had already been completely “phased out” of the US marketplace so the original mono mix was only released in the UK at that time.

#3 The Beatles Rock Band Video Game

Rock Band is the greatest music video game and The Beatles Rock Band will be the greatest version of the game. It will include over 40 Beatles songs which can be sung, drummed, and rocked. Entire albums will also be available for download. 1969’s Abbey Road will be the very first Beatles album available for download.

This Beatles version of Rock Band will be the first which includes harmony singing. Up to three different people can sing at once allowing you and your friends to recreate The Beatles famous harmonies in your own living room.

The Beatles Mono CD Box Set Includes The White Album In Mono For The First Time Ever In The US

Most People Listened To Music In Mono In The 1960s

It was not until the time of Let It Be & Abbey Road that the stereo mixes became The Beatles only. Until then they were actually far more interested in the mono mixes because they were considered to be the “standard” at that time.

The Beatles Albums In Their Original Form

You can make a great case that these original mono mixes represent The Beatles albums in their purest form. These are the mixes that most people heard back in the 1960s. These are the mixes that made them the biggest band of all time. Even if just for historical context, these mixes are very interesting to true Beatles fans.

The Beatles Mono Box Set Includes

  • Please Please Me through The White Album in their original mono mixes.
  • The original stereo mixes of Help! & Rubber Soul
  • The Mono Masters compilation of the mono mixes of the band’s non album songs.

Where’s Their Final Three Albums?

These final three albums were actually never mixed in mono because by 1969 stereo was the standard and mono mixes had been completely phased out.

Why Are Stereo Mixes Of Two Of The Beatles Albums Included?

The two albums included in stereo (Rubber Soul & Help!) were recorded in 1965. At this time mixing in stereo was still a very new thing and these albums were mixed in what would now be considerd a very strange way. When the bands albums were first put on CD in the ’80s they didn’t use the 1960s stereo mixes and created new stereo mixes to replace them with. That means the original stereo mixes for these two legendary albums have never been included on CD until this box set.

For The First Time Ever The White Album Will Be Released In Mono In The US

This will actually be the first time the band’s classic self titled 1968 album (best known as The White Album) will be released in mono in the US in any format. Why is that? Because in 1968 mono was pretty much already dead in the US so only the stereo mix was released. In the UK both the stereo & mono LPs were released.

The Beatles Remastered Box Sets

There are actually 2 Beatles box sets to be released on 9/9/9. A stereo box set & a mono box set. Both are necessary purchases by~essential for} real Beatles fanatics.
