Tips in Learning the Keyboard

The keyboard requires that both the hands play in their side of the keyboard in a synchronized manner. The two hands do not move at the same speed, rather they have to be moved independently of each other.

It can be difficult to learn to play keyboard in singapore without assistance. It is, however, not impossible to do, especially with total commitment and dedication.

Here are some of the steps to help you master the keyboard:

- Allot a number to every finger and attempt to match them to the music pieces. This allows for a more dexterous finger manipulation of the keys of the keyboard. In fact, some music sheets have numbers written that correspond to these allotted numbers. For easier memorization, assign number 1 to your thumb, 2 to your index finger, 3 to the middle finger, 4 to ring finger and 5 to the pinky. This will enable you to play the keyboard using both hands concurrently.

- You must learn to read musical notes in order to interpret a song correctly. Start memorizing the music notes and allocate practice time to read the songs. If possible, ask a musician to review if you have read the notes correctly. It might take some time before you can truly read the notes with just one glace so be patient with yourself and go slow at first.

- Try to be proficient by just feeling the keys and by listening to the notes and less on looking at the keys. The real meaning of music must come from the soul. Also, if you are passionate about mastering the keyboard, with practice and effort, you can start to get acquainted with the keyboard by attempting to perfect the tune inside your mind. Try playing the keyboard to the tune of the song in your head, remembering individual notes according to their sound.

- The keyboard components have three parts that are more commonly refered to as its brains. The first one is the sound brain. This is also commonly known as the tone. This part of the brain acts as the memory storage of the sounds of the different musical instruments that be mixed and played together to produce a totally different sound. This is an important feature of the keyboard.

The second brain of the keyboard is the rhythm brain. They are also known as sound brains, rhythms or styles. The sounds that can be identified by this brain dimension are bass guitar, piano and drums. The keyboard usually provides functions that can mix these tones.

The last of the brain component is the record pane. It records the sounds played by the two “brains” and plays them back. This allows you to review the musical piece played.

- After gaining some experience in playing the keyboard in singapore, try to join a band or a choir. This will help increase the fun element of practice, help you work towards a common goal of generating great music and also expose you to new styles of playing.

Music practice is scary? How to make it enjoyable.

How to get them enthusiastic

Ignite their Flame and See their Skills Grow

So you’re a Suzuki parent. You understand that music making is more comprehensive, much more than understanding the Suzuki method. It’s a way of life and a philosophy. It’s about encouraging by nurturing.

Music making is more effective when it comes from the heart. So now, let me guess… you holler, “Time to sit down and practice”

And your children come bounding in instantly, eager to get going?

As if!!

So this isn’t what happens?

Why not? It just takes a little creative energy and some new ideas to try and you’ll all be off to a new start!

Lets get started

No. 1 You be the Enthusiastic Encourager.

Remember when your kids took their beginning steps? They faltered and plopped on the ground. But didn’t you yell “Great effort! Go on, hop up! You can do it! ?”

Wouldn’t it be better to encourage your children in the same way when they’re learning their musical instruments?

No. 2 Reward them.

Learning is hard work for most, and children aren’t able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So why not do for them what we would happily do for a puppy?

Give them a reward at the end of every practice.

What child won’t come cheerfully to find what their next reward will be?

Young kids love stickers, but even older ones will practice cheerfully when they know that:

  • 5 stickers turns into a visit to the beach
  • 10 stickers means a bike ride
  • 2 stickers means a tasty treat

Or whatever you know is a treat for your child! Rewards along the road will ensure they don’t stall, but keep going.

No. 3 Make a Daily Practice Chart.

Make a list of all music pieces to be practiced. Include a fun motivational quote at the top. At the beginning of the week discuss the goals for the new music. Include the number of times each section is to be played.

You can use our copy… here it is:

Happy Practice Chart

No. 4 Use a Timer

Only set it for 15 minutes. Most kids can get their heads around the thought that they can manage 15 minutes. Let them know that when the timer beeps, it’s time to stop. They are to stop right on time!

They’ll play cheerfully while anticipating the glorious moment when they can STOP.

In order to meet their goals, they need to play for an hour a day. No probs. Anyone can do anything for just 15 minutes at a time!

Moreso when they’re, in fact, really playing.

Your attitude, your encouragement, your thrill as they accomplish their first steps, their toddling steps then their confident walking and running, holds the key.

You can be an Enthusiastic Encourager too!

The Epiphone Guitars

Guitars are among the most popular of musical instruments the world has ever known. Talk about any genre, and there is a big chance that genre would highly involve guitars, one way or another. Talk about Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Fusion, Country, Blues, Alternative, Speed Metal, Hardcore Metal, Pop, Flamenco, and even Classical, guitars are sure to be in the mix. With origins dating back to 5000 years ago, the guitar has contributed a profound influence on modern popular culture, defining its status as one of the most popular musical instruments in the world today.

Guitars come in precise forms and particular classes, with acoustic guitars and electrical guitars being the most major of the guitar types. Acoustic guitars are essentially made with hollow bodies, and are differentiated by the 2 classes of acoustic guitars, the steel stringed and the classical guitar. Steel stringed acoustic guitars are guitars which use steel strings, and have narrower necks compared to classical guitars, which differ from steel stringed acoustic guitars in the way that classical guitars use nylon strings and have wider necks.

Electric guitars are made with solid bodies, and use amplifiers in their successful operations. Arch top electric guitars, stand as hybrid electric-acoustic guitars, in the sense that arch top electric guitars are made with hollow bodies. The Epiphone line of guitars is famous for the Epiphone Arch top Electric Guitar line.

Epiphone, as a brand, dates back to the 1870s where Anastasios Stathopoulos made his own lutes, fiddles and Lioutos. In 1903, when Stathopoulos moved to the United States, he continued his instrument making, and eventually left the legacy to his son, Epaminondas, who eventually made the Epiphone Banjo Company in 1924. By 1928, the company started working on guitars, and was set on the track of being the makers of quality Epiphone guitars. By 1957, due to the demise of Epi Stathopoulos, the Epihone name of guitars was bought by Gibson Guitars, who was then its main rival when talking about the arch top line of guitars.

The most famous of Epihone arch top guitars came in when Gibson already had the reins of Epiphone guitars, in the form of the Casino. Made in the shape and configuration of a Gibson ES-330, the Epiphone Casino was known to have produced a very heavy sound, perfect for as a rhythm guitar. The Beatles are known to have used the Casio, along with the Rickenbacker line of guitars, which the Beatles had also used.

Epiphone Arch top Guitars. Quality guitars worth having, the arch top of arch tops.

Learn How to Play the Blues Piano

Learning to play the piano does not have to be a difficult process. No matter what genres of music you enjoy, from rock to pop, alternative to jazz, you will be able to play them on the piano. However to start to play music in these different genres it is first essential to learn how to play blues piano.

The blues piano is a style of music that will help you to eliminate problems in mastering other styles of music once you have learned to play blues piano successfully. Keep reading to fully understand blues music and how to go about playing it on the piano.

The 12-bar blues is a common progression important in helping you to learn blues piano. The majority of pianists will use seventh chords in the playing of this blues form. Songs will be split into three sets with four bars in each, giving the twelve bars where the form takes its name from. To allow for easy transition in key we refer to the notes to be played in different terms, we will start with playing a C note, so the character ‘I’ will represent the C key, while ‘IV’ will represent an F, and ‘V’ will represent the note G.

The three sets in this basic song are played as follows:

Set one: I-I-I-I
Set two: IV-IV-I-I
Set three: V-IV-I-I

Play these three sets using your right hand and before you know it you’ll be creating a sound akin to the blues piano through the mastering of these seventh chords.

Let’s consider your left hand. As your right hand plays the chords your left hand will be playing a pattern consisting of eight notes. The pattern itself is this:
I-III-V-VI-VIIb-VI-V-III

As you are playing the C chord with your right hand the actual notes you’ll be playing with your left hand will be C-E-G-A-Bb-A-G-E, as you play the F chord you’ll play the notes F-A-C-D-Eb-D-C-A and finally as you play the G chord the notes will be G-B-D-E-F-E-D-B.

It can be very easy to learn blues piano if you are already familiar with playing notes and chords on the piano. However even if you are not experienced with the above, simple blues piano lesson you’ll be mastering the 12-bar blues in C, allowing you to move on to try it in many different keys.

Before you can work your way up to playing your preferred style of music you need to learn blues piano. This strong foundation will help to make learning new lessons far easier. The different styles available on the piano can be incredibly difficult to master so develop your strong foundation to enable you to wow your audience with the elegance and praise you will develop in your playing.

A good piano teacher will be able to help you learn to play blues piano but if you can’t find or afford one never fear. There are plenty of other resources available such as online lessons and DVDs, or even books. With these beginner blues piano resources you’ll be able to set your own pace and learn how you want to. With a bit of determination and the right tools to help you you’ll be playing blues piano before you know it.

It can take years of hard learning and a lot of practice to truly master the art of the piano so building a strong foundation through blues piano lessons will put you in a good place to master your art and become a great pianist.

Things to Consider When Taking Guitar Chord Lessons

When learning how to play the guitar, the chords tend to be the most difficult thing to master. Learning them can be a massive challenge. To begin with, you are using multiple fingers to play multiple strings all at once! The combinations and finger placements can appear very confusing.

There are a couple of misconceptions when it comes to finger placement. For instance, don’t think that the size of your fingers has anything to do with lack of success. This is absolutely not true. However, most of the problem when playing guitar chords is hand PLACEMENT. You especially need to learn how to properly place your left hand and fingers.

Are you struggling with your lessons? Check to see if your left thumb is positioned high up on the back of the guitar neck. If it is, then the placement is wrong. Your left thumb should sit on the LOWER portion of the back. It needs to be behind the second finger. Sure, it will probably feel uncomfortable at first, but it is the correct posture for many styles.

You need to remember this posture. Sure, it’s simple to play a couple of songs or notes and then return to your old habit, but that will only encourage the bad habit. Remember: practicing good habits is crucial when learning guitar chords.

Common Mistakes
Successfully learning is heavily prevented by lack of support and knowledge. When you are struggling to play a five string chord, you are probably making two big mistakes:
1.    For starters, attempting to master a five string chord is a mistake when you’re just learning. Instead, you should focus on a two or three string chord, as they are much easier to learn. Later on down the road you can move on to more complex chords.
2.    Secondly, proper placement of the fingers is essential. For instance, it wasn’t until after a few months of playing when I realized that I was practicing incorrectly. The tutorial videos at the Learn & Master Guitar website showed me that I was incorrect with my finger placement.

If you want to learn chords, it is important to learn the correct way, which can be tough without an expert, or at least some type of formal training. However, guitar lessons usually aren’t cheap.

You need to check out a resource such as Learn and Master Guitar. That way, you will have access to many techniques, lessons, and tips that you would learn from a private teacher. The best thing is, these online lessons are way more affordable!

Lessons + Practice = Tons of success!

Make sure you take some lessons, no matter what form they come in. You aren’t going to learn guitar chords and songs without good lessons. Whether you have the money and time for private lessons or simply come across a good lesson online isn’t relevant. Just find yourself a good lesson, learn from it, and practice!

Practice is crucial. It’s recommended that you set aside a half hour to an hour every single day for guitar practice. This may not seem like a lot of time, but it’s actually best to not play more than a half hour or so each day. This is because you may become more or pick up bad habits. Instead, just set aside 30 minutes or so every day and make sure there are no distractions.

Spend a good fifteen minutes focused exclusively on the chords. Begin with basic and simple chords. Within a couple of weeks, you will not only play them like a pro, but you will also switch back and forth between them with ease!

Successful guitar chords learning requires practice and dedication just as much as it requires skill. Make up your mind that you are going to learn no matter what! You really can do this. Remember that chords are pretty much the foundation for every song, therefore you should be able to play a TON of great songs once you learn the chords!

Are you ready to dive in and get some awesome video lessons so that you can learn from the pros?

Group Health Programs and Prescription Assistance Programs For Americans

Individual medical insurance provides benefits for medical care. Prescription assistance programs may be included in some plans. Some plans may provide for payment of medical expenses incurred on a reimbursement basis by paying benefits to the policy owner, payment on a service basis by paying those who provide the services directly, or payment of an indemnity by paying a set sum regardless of the total charged for medical expenses. Medical expense or hospitalization insurance may well be issued on an individual or group basis. Some of these plans will provide prescription help.

Although there are numerous types of benefits offered, personal health expense coverage will commonly be categorized as basic medical expense insurance, major medical insurance, comprehensive medical coverage, and special policies. These policies should cover prescriptions because prescription drugs help so many patients. The majority of these plans have mainly been replaced by managed care alternatives and are no longer available as stand-alone plans. These types of policies have been adapted and replaced in answer to changes in the health care field relative to cost control and market competition.

Basic health insurance provided by a individual health expense plan includes hospital expense, surgical expense and medical expense. These three basics can be issued together or separately. Often this is written as “first dollar” insurance, which means it does not include a deductible.

Like the name implies, hospital expense health insurance provides benefits for charges incurred for the period of hospitalization. Hospital indemnities are commonly classified into two broad groups:

• Room and board, as well as nursing care and special diets

• Miscellaneous health charges, plus x-rays, laboratory fees, medications, medical supplies, and operating and treatment rooms

In a few cases, surgical benefits possibly will be included for some types of surgery and associated costs. Hospital expense coverage provides benefits for daily hospital room and board and assorted hospital expenses whilst the insured person is confined to the hospital. The policy may provide for a particular dollar amount for the daily hospital room and board benefit, even though the movement is in the direction of health insurance of not more than the semiprivate room charge unless a private room is medically necessary. The room and board benefit may be paid on either an indemnity basis or a reimbursement basis, depending on the individual policy.

Indemnity programs are on occasion called dollar amount plans. Room and board rates vary by geographic location, but it is not abnormal to notice room and board rates ranging from $250  to $500  per day or more.

Usually, the maximum number of days is from 100  to 350 . More frequently, room and board expenses are paid on a reimbursement basis. also referred to as an expenses-incurred basis~This is also known as a expenses incurred basis~This is often times called a expenses incurred basis}. Under this plan, the policy will pay in one of two methods.

• The actual charges for a semiprivate room are covered.

• A percentage of the actual cost is paid, with no particular dollar limit.

Under the first reimbursement option, the health insurance company will pay the full actual semiprivate room rate, regardless of what it is. Under the second reimbursement option, the insurance carrier pays a specific percentage, regardless of what the actual charges are. A customary percentage is 80%.

To recap, under the actual expenses kind of reimbursement policy, the policy will pay the actual amount charged for a semiprivate room without regard to a specific dollar limit. With the percentage type of reimbursement policy, the plan might pay a certain percentage of the actual charges.

Learn How To Play Guitar For Beginners Online

Before actually learning how to play guitar you should know a few very important things. The main thing you should only keep in mind is that a song is made from notes.

If you want to play the notes correctly then you should familiarize yourself with the chords. To be more precise, the chords are a series of notes played in unison.

If the guitar player knows how to play them then the result will be very melodic.

If you´re a beginner the first thing you will learn will be to know the chords. You can´t play correctly if you don´t know the chords. The G, C, D and A are the easiest chords on the guitar.

Easy means that you won´t have to use many fingers to play them, just three fingers will do the trick.

When you push down on the strings at the fret on the guitar neck it´s called playing chords. While pushing down the strings you should strum the strings before the sound hole and there you have it: you´re playing the guitar.

Many professionals recommend that you should use an acoustic guitar in order to learn how to play. When you learn the basics you can start using an electric guitar.

If you´re looking for some tips in regard to chords then you should read on. You shouldn´t push the strings down too hard.

Everything stays in the balance and in time you´ll see how this works. The chord won´t sound perfect when you press down too hard or too soft.

Also, you might want to level down the wrist of the left hand in order to loosen the strain. If you ignore this step your guitar will make buzzing sounds instead of great tunes.

Not to mention that in time you´ll experience cramping and pain in your hand. Technique is the key to guitar playing!

At first it´s recommended that you play only songs with less chord movements. When you can play correctly all these easy songs you can start playing blindfolded.

Take a good look at any professional player and you´ll see that they don´t look at the fret while playing except for the times when they must play a complex chord.

It´s very important that you memorize the hand movements of all the guitar chords. The fingers and the hand must touch very the guitar very naturally and if you practice day by day that shouldn´t be a problem.

If you want to learn how to play the guitar online, i highly recommend the Jamorama guitar learning course. Check out my in depth Jamorama review for more details. Visit my site for other online guitar courses.

Why Are Rat Pack Bands Still So Popular?

Is the Rat Pack Style Band still popular? Well, I would have to say yes. Even though it is some time since Robbie Williams had a hit cd with “Swing When You’re Winning” , there have been plenty of similar artists producing music of a similar nature. From the time of Robbie’s Rat Pack style tribute we have heard from such artists as Kevin Spacey, complete with big band, tributing Bobby Darin. We have had Michael Buble` playing a variety of songs redolent of a Rat Pack Style. Closer to home, Jamie Cullum is still very popular in the same swing idiom.

A few things in common with all of these artists. They have sold plenty of records, they are popular, they favour a proper band to back them, and they play music in a style that would be very familiar to the members of the famous Rat Pack that worked in Vegas back in the day. In my opinion that period demonstrated a style and grace that few performers have today. The Rat Pack Style Band can do something to recreate that level of style through performance, repertoire and “look”.

As a live music specialist and professional musician I am working every week in this idiom, whether for private or for corporate clients. The style of music, the look of the band, the Rat Pack connection all help contribute to the success of the evening. We make sure that the old favourites are played and enjoyed~We make sure that the old favourites are played and enjoyed}. Songs from the Rat Pack repertoire such as “Fly Me To The Moon” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” “Sway” and many others, always get a great reception from an appreciative audience. The Rat Pack cover band enjoy playing them and everyone goes home happy! Good style will never go out of fashion, Rat Pack music and Frank Sinatra tribute acts played by a good band familiar with the style and idiom of the music will continue to entertain guests for as long as high profile artists continue to give the music an opportunity to live.

All About Electric Guitar Lessons for Beginners

There’s no sound in this world quite so distinct as that of an electric guitar.
Sure, the acoustic guitar has its own unique sound and is fun to play, but nothing can ever compare to playing electric guitar.

If you’re starting lessons later in life, don’t worry: you’re never too young to play the electric guitar!

Learning to play is probably easier than you think. Still, you need to be dedicated, committed, and motivated to the electric guitar. If you’re not fired up and motivated every single day, you will never learn to play more than a simple song or two.

You must make a big commitment to this amazing instrument. You need to set up daily goals and weekly plans, and you must meet them. If you’re willing to do as such, you will truly learn how to play an electric guitar.

Follow these four steps:
1.    Get yourself an electric guitar.
2.    Find a quiet place to practice.
3.    Find a good home study course or a private teacher.

The first two steps are pretty obvious. You’re going to need an electric guitar and a place in which you can play it. This place can even be your own bedroom. The third step is to locate a private electric guitar teacher or a home study course. What’s the fourth step?

The fourth step should be obvious: PRACTICE!

So, what’s the best option for guitar lessons for you?

Now, there’s a wide array of options for learning electric guitar, ranging from private lessons to print books and from DVD’s to e-books. There are also software games that will teach you how to play! Some are top-notch resources while others are a waste of money. You need to be very careful when choosing.

Many new electric guitarists put their trust in a private instructor. There’s nothing wrong with that; the majority of private instructors work at music shops and are obviously talented musicians who can play the guitar really well. It’s tough to beat that kind of resource because they will sit down next to you and help you work on one-on-one skills.
The major drawbacks, however, are that private instructors charge a lot of money, and the lessons themselves are huge time commitments. You can expect a few half hour lessons every week along with “homework”. As for price, you will be paying AT LEAST $15-$16 per thirty minute electric guitar lesson!

If you’ve the money and time, then by all means, take this route!
However, you need to understand that this isn’t your only option. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t learn anything from a private instructor. Some of the best guitarists in the world learned by themselves!

Bookstores and the internet will provide just as much—if not more—information on how to play as a private instructor would. Many of these resources provide:
·    An overview of the electric guitar and its features
·    Lessons on playing
·    Instruction on tuning
·    Guitar tabs for a variety of songs
·    Advanced tricks and techniques

Learn & Master Guitar is by far one of the most popular choices. It’s a course that provides a CD/DVD/book set with all the info you’ll need for playing electric guitar. This course is also cheaper than lessons with a private instructor.

Once you get your electric guitar, practice space, and lesson plan, you will then be able to truly learn how to play!

Each instructor or lesson will teach you in a different way. All you have to do is follow their guidelines and practice every day. There are a few things that all resources will teach you, however, including:

·    How to strum evenly
·    Resting your left thumb on the bottom part of the neck, not the top.
·    Working on rhythm and gaining familiarity with the way each string sounds
·    Keeping the finger close—but not on—the fret bar.
·    Pressing down hard on the string when playing a chord or note.

Practicing and playing is actually easier than you may think. Just make sure you’re truly committed and dedicated to your electric guitar lessons for beginners. You need some sort of formal training in order to lay a solid foundation.

Be sure to check out Learn and Master Guitar. It truly teaches more than most other courses and lessons, and it’s also very affordable!
