If you have been discouraged by the cost of a private piano instructor, it’s time to take a look at your alternatives. Professional instructors can be very effective, but it is possible to learn without them. Advancements in technology have proven that nothing is impossible. The most traditional method of learning to play the piano is, of course, a private instructor. Piano instructors have been in existence since the invention of the piano. The alternative options available will save you money, and possibly time, when compared to private instruction. With any of these options, however, the most important factor is you. Make sure you have the right attitude to learn, the discipline to make it happen, and the patience to keep going when you get frustrated.
