I’ve been travelling around Europe now for three years, with nothing but a passport, a tent, a few clothes and my trusty guitar! Ok the money runs low and I never know where I’ll lay my head from one night to the next but there’s something so exciting about travelling this way – relying on the good nature of the people who stop to listen to me and my guitar on the street corners of Europe.

I feel like I am almost ready to come home – some people could do this for years and years, but sometimes you visit a place and you just know that you won’t be able to better the experience no matter where you go. I feel like this now because I have had the most amazing time over the last few months in mainland Greece. The people here are so friendly and welcoming and they absolutely love traditional greek music. It’s in their blood here, and I soon discovered that if I launched myself into some uptempo folk greek musicthe locals would be partying with me and the money would start rolling in! I honestly made more money, and more friends in Greece than anywhere else in Europe.

A big part of me now wants to return home to Britain, and spread the gospel of great Greek Music. I learned so much out there in the traditional taverns listening to the music of their homeland and I really feel that I can use my memories of that wonderful part of my life and write music of my own in their traditional style. So, I’m going to head home, find a quiet spot in my local park, sit down with my guitar, and see if I can come up with one of the next big greek music hits!

I love sailing. My father was a true blue sailor and he was the one who introduced me to the art of sailing. I love surfing on the turquoise blue water of the ocean and feeling the air and water hit my body. It is a kind of a high for me. As a kid, I had decided that someday I will own a yacht of my own and ride the waves like a pirate. I worked hard to make my dream come true. My hard work paid off.
